NEOLAX Summer Day Camp is a great opportunity for the both the experienced player and those new to the “fastest game on two feet!” This camp will provide campers of all abilities the chance to develop individual skills while learning the necessary team elements to be successful lacrosse players and take their game to the next level.

Beginner campers will focus on ground balls, cradling, dodging, throwing/catching, and shooting; experienced campers will emphasize these skills as well as speed and agility, position-specific training, and “lacrosse IQ,” utilizing film study, and game situations. Both camps will feature situational play, instructional lacrosse games, scrimmages, and an experienced staff.

Camp will be led by Hawken coaches and players from the boys and girls varsity teams, including head coach Dan Usaj. Coach Usaj started coaching at the collegiate level at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2006. He spent two seasons as head coach. After his experience at USC, Usaj spent two seasons as the assistant coach at Davenport University (MI), a member of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), taking them to two Final Four appearances.

Throughout his 18-year coaching career, over 55 players coached by Usaj have gone on to play competitive college lacrosse. Most recent graduates are playing at the University of Richmond, High Point University, Ohio Wesleyan, R.I.T., and Amherst College.

NOTE: All campers will need a mouthpiece, eye protection, and a stick. Boy campers will also need gloves, arm pads, shoulders pads, and a helmet.
